THE BOARDWALK BY LAGO
BOARDWALK BY LAGO
A timber walkway along the cliff between Lago and Jungut Batu Beach. Open, free, no gate at either end. The spine of the this part of the Nusa lembongan coast, even though we built it's for everyone to use. The Boardwalk runs a few hundred metres from the main beach at Jungut Batu south along the limestone cliff face, dropping down to the beach at Lago Beach. It's the route most guests take to reach the property by foot. It's also the route most guests take home from sunset.
Cliff face on one side, water on the other. On a clear day, Mt. Agung sits across the channel to the north. The local Jukung fishing boats moored below. Locals fishing the rocks at low tide. The Sundeck cut into the cliff above you. Frangipani and pandan grown into the cliff face wherever the boards leave room. The path is narrow in places, two abreast, sometimes one. No bikes, no scooters. Sandals or bare feet; the timber is smooth and warm.
