THE SUNDECK BY LAGO
Set above the boardwalk with views across the water toward Mt. Agung, The Sundeck by LAGO was designed as a simple and open wellness space connected to the natural rhythm of the island. The experience is intentionally relaxed and versatile. Some guests come for recovery and contrast therapy, others simply for the atmosphere. Whether you prefer moving between the sauna and cold plunge, enjoying a coffee after a morning session, or sitting by the ice bath with an Aperol Spritz or a glass of sparkling wine, the space naturally adapts to the pace of the day. A panoramic sauna, a cold plunge carved in natural stone, comfortable seating areas and open-air surroundings create a setting where guests can slow down, reset and enjoy the environment in their own way. Unlike traditional wellness spaces hidden away indoors, The Sundeck is integrated into the energy of LAGO itself. Guests move naturally between wellness, conversation, dining and the ocean throughout the day. Located beside Dawn by LAGO, it is common to see guests finishing a sauna session before sitting down for breakfast, fresh juices or simply taking in the view.
The sundeck itself is designed as an elevated open-air lounge overlooking the coastline. Natural materials, shaded seating and ocean breeze create a calm environment throughout the day, whether guests are using the wellness facilities or simply enjoying the space. The atmosphere remains quiet, social and unforced, more connected to island living than a traditional spa experience.
The Cold Plunge is built from hand-finished natural stone and positioned beside the sauna overlooking the water. The plunge is continuously filtered and temperature-controlled, typically maintained between 6 and 10 degrees Celsius. Whether used for recovery, relaxation or contrast therapy after the sauna, the cold plunge is designed to be both refreshing and accessible for all experience levels.
The panoramic sauna is electrically heated and maintained at approximately 70 degrees Celsius throughout the day. Built with warm natural materials and large open views toward the ocean, the sauna was designed to feel calming rather than clinical. Guests are encouraged to move between the heat, cold plunge and surrounding lounge areas at their own rhythm, creating a wellness experience that feels relaxed, social and naturally integrated into the LAGO environment.
